Our Analysis Methods

Electrical Test/Function Test

This covers the metrological analysis for compliance with the electrical parameters according to the data sheet. Electrical tests may be used for component selection, functional testing, as well as insulation and safety tests.

By recording relevant electrical values, we check electronic and electrical components against data sheet specifications. Comparative measurements with reference samples and selection according to customer specifications are also possible. Unacceptable deviations indicate counterfeit, refurbished, or rejected goods.

Functionally specific components such as transistors, diodes, LEDs, capacitors, inductors, resistors, varistors, NTC/PTC, voltage regulators, optocouplers, etc., can be extensively and economically tested in SafeLab. The same applies to electromechanical components such as relays, switching elements, and assemblies like power supplies, voltage converters, or battery packs.

Accompanying analyses by thermal imaging camera make it possible to detect unacceptable thermal hotspots and faulty components, especially in power components and assemblies.

In the case of very complex components such as microcontrollers, checking all functionalities in detail is neither economically feasible nor time-efficient. Depending on the component type, our experienced experts determine sensible measurement and testing procedures, which we are happy to coordinate with you.

Electrical tests are generally non-destructive. Exceptions include tests to determine maximum possible load values.
